Raising Sand & Concrete

Another 2007/2008 essential: Raising Sand by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss. Amazing album, taker of 6 Grammy awards between '08/'09. My fave tracks: Rich Woman, Polly Come Home, Please Read The Letter, Stick With Me Baby, and Fortune Teller.

First vinyl pressing sold out quickly and went upwards of $150. 2nd pressing is out NOW so don't put it off. ElusiveDisc.com has it in stock for $20 (read their excellent review & order it here).

Optimized for the vinyl release, double 180g set comes in a nice gatefold with lyrics and photos.

From Wikipedia: "According to Ken Irwin of Rounder Records, and producer Burnett, the duo have started work on a second album".  UPDATE: Plans on a second album have been scrapped for now. Songs that were in the works weren't coming together as they had hoped, and then scheduling conflicts got in the way.

Better pics of the Pretenders' Break Up The Concrete double 10" / CD combo:

Two 10" sleeves fit inside the die-cut 'concrete' gatefold cover. Strangely, it's embossed on the inside cover, not the outer cover which has the same concrete photo.

Backsides of the sleeves have printed lyrics.

Included is the CD in a light-weight cardboard sleeve.

The package is wrapped by a paper black band w/ red title.
