Kings of Leon

From Nashville come the Followills- 3 brothers and a cousin, now famous as Kings Of Leon. Singer Caleb's sometimes splintered vocals fire and crack with passion even if the lyrics are sometimes too simple to be serious- the songs are sold on emotional delivery.

Only By The Night being their 4th album, reviews are split between the new more commerical sound and those that favored the bands original heavier output. The LP contains the excellent bonus track Frontier City not found on CD.

The package is a nicely done basic 2-pocket gatefold, black vinyl in white die-cut sleeves. Inside is just titles/credits on the left- (with plenty of empty space where lyrics could have gone), separate pics of the band on the right.

I didn't care much for samples I've heard from the first two albums, but their third record Because Of The Times was also a must-have.  It's a single-pocket cover with just a white die-cut sleeve, but a nice translucent red vinyl for cheap!
