R.I.P. THE DOG

After serving Columbus for over 30 years, my favorite place on the planet, Singing Dog Records has closed their doors for good. A sign posted on the door says thanks to their customers for 30 yrs, and they will be available online when they unpack. Whether that means they will become an online seller, or just use the net to sell off stock is unknown.

It's a sad day for local vinyl buyers especially. No one else stocks current & re-issued popular titles like the Dog has.

As a friend and I approached the building today, I noticed the 'Open' sign was not on as usual. At the top of the steps I joined a small crowd peering through the dark windows and reading the posted sign in disbelief.
