Recorded on the heals of touring their 4th release Only By The Night, the Followills' 5th album, Come Around Sundown, is creating some music fan backlash.  No wonder with some media touting them as the new U2.  This is a great 5th album, but it's no Joshua Tree. Thankfully so, I hope this band never turns into the polished chrome that became U2 after Rattle And Hum.

There is already a remix album in the works with contributions from Kenna, Linkin Park, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, and Lykke Li- whose cover of Knocked Up was the b-side to Use Somebody in '08.

Two heavy LPs in a non-glossy gatefold. Sleeves are thick with credits or lyrics on one side and and photos on the other.  The alternate cover for Australia is one of these inner sleeve photos (below, left side)

The Radioactive single is free with the album purchase at some record stores, the b-side is a remix which is one of the two iTunes bonus.

Thanks to my friend Ron who picked up the album AND the free 45 for me at Shake It in Cincinnati and shipped it (with a bonus Shake It sticker!).

Other than Lost Weekend finally getting it in late this week, no one else in Columbus has it yet.
