Christmas Booty Pt.1

Thanks to good friends Angie & Mike for the best Christmas gift possible- a gift certificate to my local fave Spoonful, where I ran right over and bought the 180 gram Legend re-issue.  If you have only one reggae album in your collection, this should be it.  It comes in a resealable sleeve instead of shrink, and the cover is NOT a gatefold like previous pressings.  Front & Back cover art is perfectly reproduced.

I'm not sure if this is from the '90 Barry Diament masters.

To the right is the original inside cover, I swiped from someone on ebay- the current reissue does NOT include these notes or photo.

Also picked up a copy of Akron/Family's Set 'Em Wild, Set 'Em Free for 8 bucks, sealed but discounted due to a bent upper corner.

I hadn't heard of them before but they're an interesting mix of experimental sounds and folk rock.

This is a double album in a gatefold with printed lyric sheet and download code.

This is their 5th label release of studio material, another album followed in 2010 as a self-released free download, and a new double album will be out Feb 8th, which includes a vinyl-only bonus track. They also have quite a few self-released collections of live and improv material, and at least one member so far has a solo release.
